Experience, Perspective, and Genuine Human Connection

MEET RICHARD

Since becoming a California LMFT in 1980, I have helped children, adults, couples, and families understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges. My approach combines warmth, curiosity, practical perspective, and the insight gained from a lifetime of service and leadership.

A Lifetime of Service and Leadership

Throughout my career, I have worked in hospital leadership, private practice, skilled nursing home management, community counseling, and military medical administration. I served in senior leadership roles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and other hospitals in Seattle and Philadelphia, created and led programs supporting young people and families, and served as a Medical Services Administrator with the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command.

These experiences shaped how I understand people, not only as individuals, but within the realities of relationships, work, health, family, aging, and major life transitions. That broader perspective continues to inform every conversation I have with my clients today.
